Artfully Queer - HOME 2021
Curated by Phoebe Adams
The 2021 Artfully Queer theme asked creative Tasmanian LGBTQ's to respond to the theme of home. What is home? Where is home? Home may be a safe place where you can be your true self, or a space where you feel you belong. Home may be a dream or aspiration, a place you haven't found yet. Home can be a taste, a smell, we can feel at home in our bodies, in our home, in our town, on our island... in our universe. Home can be a person or a group of people. Home can be an object, a feeling or an idea. As Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz says repeatedly, "There's no place like home!".
